Special Sanditon Edition of Persuasions On-Line Posted

From time to time JASNA publishes a special edition of Persuasions On-Line that focuses on a particular topic in more depth than is possible in our annual December issue. We are happy to be able to do so once again, this time with a bonus edition spotlighting Jane Austen's unfinished last work, Sanditon.

Persuasions On-Line, Vol. 38, No. 2, is a collection of 22 essays from the conference "Sanditon: 200 Years," hosted by Trinity College, Cambridge, March 29-31, 2017. The essays offer fascinating new insights on the Sanditon manuscript and Austen's writing process, explore the political and cultural context of the novel, examine changes in Austen's characterization and style, assess continuations of the fragment, and propose strategies for teaching it.

Many thanks to Persuasions Editor Susan Allen Ford and her Co-Editor for this edition, Anne Toner of Trinity College, for making this special edition possible!
