We are pleased to announce that there will be several opportunities to attend concerts at the Frank Gehry’s Walt Disney Concert Hall while you are in Los Angeles.  The second season of this concert hall will begin with the debut of its magnificent pipe organ.  Containing 6,125 pipes, this visually stunning organ will be introduced on Thursday, September 30, 2004 at a non-subscription concert.  Other concerts will be held on Saturday, October 2, Sunday, October 3, Thursday, October 7, Friday October 8, Sunday, October 10, Monday, October 11, Thursday, October 14, and Friday, October 15, 2004.  Many of these concerts will feature the Los Angeles Philharmonic with Esa-Pekka Salonen conducting.  Non-subscription single tickets are currently slated to go on sale on September 5, 2004.  As competition for tickets is great, put this date on your calendar so you will not be disappointed.  See the Disney Hall website at www.laphil.org
LA CATHEDRAL
Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels

While in Los Angeles, you will have the opportunity to tour or attend mass at the recently completed Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels.  This dynamic contemporary design by Spanish architect José Rafael Moneo features alabaster windows, a cedar ceiling, cherry wood pews, and a limestone floor.  Masses at this vibrant 21st century church are held weekdays at 7:00 am and 12:00 noon and at 8:00 am on Sunday.  The website is www.olacathedral.org
