Update: Our conference hotel is completely booked for several
nights during the AGM, including Saturday. No need to worry
though. We have set up overflow room blocks
at two hotels near Loews with special rates available until
September 26, subject to room availability. Details about the
hotels and how to make reservations are provided below. Note:
Room availability at The Lodge at Ventana Canyon is now very
limited, so if you are thinking of staying at that overflow hotel,
make your reservation now.
Your
Options: It may be possible to get a
room at Loews through an online travel agency's room block, such as
Expedia, Travelocity, etc. However you would not be able to
get the JASNA Rate. We recommend making
reservations
at one of our two overflow hotels. Be sure to ask about cancellation
policies.
Please Note:
If you reserved more room nights at Loews than you will actually need for the
AGM, or if you have decided to room with someone and still have an
extra room reserved, please cancel the room nights you won’t be
using. |

We have
reserved a block of rooms at The Lodge at Ventana Canyon, a small
resort-style hotel/country club adjacent to Loews. The
800-square-foot suites have either one king bed or two double beds,
a kitchenette
with microwave and refrigerator, dining area, living area and
oversized bathroom. In addition, complimentary
shuttle van service is available to take you back and forth between
The Lodge and Loews Ventana Canyon Resort. The JASNA room rate is
$169 per night, plus tax and a $20 service fee. To make reservations, call
Janet Hare on weekdays at 1-800-828-5701 before September 26, 2006, and ask for the Jane Austen Society of North America
rate. The rate will be available until that date or until the rooms are
booked.

Sheraton Tucson
Hotel and Suites
Deluxe
guestrooms with one king or two double beds are available at the
Sheraton Tucson for the special JASNA rate of $119 per night, plus
tax, if reserved by September 26. Suites are also available for $139
per night, plus tax. All rooms feature the Sheraton’s “Sweet
Sleeper” bed, and a full American breakfast buffet is included in
the price. The Sheraton is about a 15-minute drive from Loews, so
you would need to order a cab or have a rental car. To make
reservations, call The Sheraton at 1-800-325-3535 by
September 26, 2006 and mention the Jane Austen Society of North
America to get this special rate. The rate will be available until that date or until the rooms are booked. |
