Maryland Region: Summer Meeting
Food in Jane Austen's Time
Join us for our Summer Meeting at Union Jack’s in Columbia on July 29th at noon for “From Page to Plate: Food in Jane Austen’s Time." Kimberly Costa, a food historian and Journeyman on Colonial Williamsburg's Historic Foodways staff will discuss what it was like to plan, prepare and eat food like that eaten by the poorest to the richest characters in Austen's novels.
We'll also have a delicious luncheon, book exchange, and special remembrance to commemorate Austen's 200th passing.
