North Texas Region: Jane Austen and Chess

Sep 10

1:30 pm - 4:00 pm

TeaFall Meeting

Did Jane Austen play chess?  Possibly so as she seems to use the strategies of a chess player in moving her novels' characters around the chessboard of her plot. William Peirson, back by popular demand, will be presenting "The Chess Pieces in Jane Austen" at our Fall Meeting. He will delve deeper into his theory of Austen's use of chess while moving her characters around the chessboard of her plot.
