Imaginary Letters
The theme of the 2005 AGM was Jane Austen’s Letters in Fact and Fiction. The Conference Steering Committee invited members to write an imaginary letter from one of Austen’s characters to another, in either the same or a different novel, or from Jane Austen herself to a real person, whom she may or may not have really known. The winning entries were published for the AGM as “Imaginary Letters” and are presented here for the enjoyment of all.
