The Fall Meeting welcomes former JASNA president Elsa Solender to discuss and sign her book Jane Austen in Love: An Entertainment. In this continuation of her prize winning short story, Elsa Solender builds on the known facts of Jane Austen’s romantic encounter with the gentleman at Sidmouth who won her heart. A lovely story for all Jane Austen fans.
Think Wickham got the bride he deserved? Is Charlotte Lucas your favorite character in the novel? Can’t tolerate Mr. Bennet’s treatment of Mrs. Bennet? This meeting is for you! After after a tea and scones break, Charlene Howell, noted local book club speaker, will lead a spirited discussion on Pride and Prejudice.
The event is open to members and guests and those with an interest in Jane Austen. Cost of the program is $12. Reservations are requested by 9/1/13 but onsite registration is available. The meeting will be held at Hackberry Creek Country Club which is located at 1901 Royal Lane Irving, Texas 75063.
