On Saturday, October 12th, after a cash bar cocktail
hour starting at 6:00 p.m., the Annual JASNA Banquet will begin
at 7 o'clock in the ballroom of the Hilton Toronto hotel. Amidst
a decor created by select students from the Visual Merchandising
Arts course, Seneca College of Applied Arts and Technology, you
will dine on your choice of pan-roasted breast of chicken, with
woodland mushrooms and pepper coulis sauce, or poached salmon with
scallions and vermouth reduction. For those strict vegetarians,
there will be a comparable vegetarian meal available. We have no
doubts that genial conversation with your table partners will abound,
and expect that a good time will be had by all present.
After the delightful dinner, Maureen Ryan, of the
London Ontario Chapter, has arranged for you to be entertained by
three local English County Dance groups who, when they have "delighted
you enough", will join together to lead you through a number
of the dances from their demonstration. Those of you who take the
dance workshops will certainly have a leg up here. For those who
do not wish to dance, but simply relax, there will be a lecture
on charades which will allow you to create your own fun, both at
the conference and at home. A cardroom will be available and a room
for relaxed conversation with your old as well as newly-made friends.
