The Wisconsin Region
invites you to Milwaukee for the 2005 Annual General Meeting
celebrating “Jane Austen’s Letters in Fact and Fiction.” The conference
is dedicated to our muse and mentor, Joan Philosophos, who presided
over the region for many years. Joan bequeathed to us her fascination
with Austen’s letters—the dozens used in the novels, as well as
Austen’s personal correspondence. The AGM will divert JASNA members
with speakers, exhibits, and entertainment on this epistolary theme and
unique tours to sites on the shores of Lake Michigan.
