Hotel
August 1 Update: Because conference registration is sold out, demand for rooms at the AGM hotel has been high. We are seeing sporadic cancellations, which cause rooms to be released to the JASNA room block (accessible from the link and phone number further down on this page), and expect a larger number of cancellations nearer the September 10 deadline for registration refunds. Please note that the JASNA discounted room rate expires September 16.
If you do not yet have a room at all yet, please consider booking at another hotel or sharing with another attendee. A board where prospective room sharers can find one another will be opened soon, and information will be sent to everyone registered for the conference. Please watch for additional updates that will be sent from the conference Registrar and posted on the AGM Update Center.

Baltimore Marriott Waterfront

HOW TO MAKE RESERVATIONS IN THE JASNA BLOCK
Reservations in the JASNA room block will open at 12 noon Eastern DST on June 23, 2025. You must use JASNA’s official reservations weblink (preferred) or the telephone number (subject to delays) below in order to receive JASNA’s discounted room rate.
Online link to reservation system: https://book.passkey.com/go/JaneAusten
Telephone number for reservations: 1-877-212-5752 Be sure to ask for the JASNA 2025 Meeting room block (rate code JAS). Please be aware that it will take time to get through Marriott’s automated voice menus and reach a reservations agent; reserving online using the link above is preferable.
If, after 12:00 noon EDT on June 23, you do not see an active link and phone number above, you may need to reload the page and/or clear your browser cache. (Here’s an article on how to do that: How to Clear Internet Cache in Every Major Browser (lifewire.com).) Alternatively, click here for an alternate location where the link and phone number will be posted at 12 noon.
JASNA’s room block is large enough for the anticipated demand during the official AGM nights. Reservations may be made at the JASNA rate up to three days before and after the conference, if rooms are available. IMPORTANT: when reserving online, a reservation request for which some nights may be sold out will return an “unavailable” indicator for your entire desired stay. If you see the “unavailable” message, try reserving for fewer nights, and add more later. Room block status updates will be posted periodically in the AGM Update Center.
The cut-off date for making reservations is September 16, but rooms may sell out before then. An initial sellout does not mean you have no chance of staying at the AGM hotel. There is always some turnover of rooms in the months prior to the AGM, with many JASNA members changing their plans or deciding to stay with roommates. An online bulletin board where AGM attendees can post or respond to requests for room-sharing will be opened later in the summer.
A deposit equivalent to one night's room fee will be taken at the time of registration. Please be aware of the hotel's cancellation policy: to receive a refund, you must cancel your reservation before 11:59 PM local hotel time 3 days before the date of your planned arrival.
JASNA does not work with any third-party booking agents, and you should regard any communication offering to book your room for you as attempted fraud.
The AGM will be held at the Marriott Baltimore Waterfront hotel. Located in the vibrant, recently developed Harbor East area, near Little Italy, the Inner Harbor, and the popular destination neighborhood of Fell’s Point, this luxury hotel will provide AGM attendees with stunning water and skyline views and a host of shops and restaurants nearby. JASNA will be the only conference group in the hotel, giving us exclusive access to spacious, modern, and plentiful meeting spaces.
Between sessions, you can dine on the waterfront at the hotel restaurant, Apropoes, which offers sustainable local fare that “give[s] the feeling of home and comfort—where simple and fresh are better.” If you prefer something more than “a plain ragout,” then seafood, Italian, Argentinian, Middle Eastern, and more, at all price points, are minutes away, as well as a Whole Foods Market, coffee shop, and bakery.

The hotel's newly redesigned luxurious rooms and suites are fitted out with all the modern necessities. Large windows and stunning harbor or city views will leave you feeling like Catherine Morland marveling at the modern appointments at Northanger Abbey. All guest rooms and suites include a mini-fridge, coffee/tea maker, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, safe, and desk.
Accessibility: You will be able to view and select an accessible room when you make your reservation. If you have other accessibility needs, please contact Linda Slothouber, Conference Director, at jasnaconferencedir@gmail.com.
