RELEASE of Remaining Hotel Rooms on July 8

Dear JASNA Members Registered for the AGM,

We released a questionnaire for all attendees on June 30 to help us get a headcount for remaining hotel room needs.  Based on that data, we are doing the following:

• Releasing all remaining JW Marriott room inventory for all nights on Wednesday, July 8, at approximately 12 noon Eastern/9:00am Arizona Time.
• Continuing to look for a secondary room block to accommodate people without reservations, or with needs that are unlikely to be met at the JW Marriott.

If you did not complete the June 30 questionnaire but need a room reservation for any or all nights, please click here to do so.  Note that we are using the questionnaire to compile headcounts and are not able to manage individual bookings for you.

RELEASE OF REMAINING HOTEL ROOMS

• On Wednesday, June 8, at approximately 12 noon ET, the hotel plans to release the remaining rooms for October 27, October 28, November 1, November 2.  You will not need a code.
• To add a night, start on this page (clickable link).  You may click "Manage Existing Reservation" and then type your hotel confirmation number in the pop-up box.  If this doesn't work for you, you can make a separate reservation by clicking the white box (if visible) and choosing "attendee."
• The remaining inventory is greatest for Wednesday, October 28, and Sunday, November 1, but these nights may sell out, so please do not delay.
• Very few rooms remain for Tuesday, October 27 and Monday, November 2 and are likely to sell out almost immediately.  If you must have either or both of these room nights, you can keep an eye out for cancellations over the summer, try to share with someone else, or consider moving to the overflow block.  Also consider an airport hotel for your first or last night.  
• Currently, we are sold out for the peak nights of October 29, October 30, October 31.  If you don't have a room yet for these nights, please hold on for news about the overflow block of rooms.  Intermittently, some of these nights have appeared as available on the online reservation system.  You may check occasionally and see if what you need returns to availability, or just hold out for the overflow block.  
• There are always a significant number of hotel room cancellations in the summer leading up to any AGM, and when the overflow block becomes available, that will create additional flexibility at the JW Marriott as some people with partial reservations choose to move.  Any room reservations released by JASNA members automatically return to the pool available at the JASNA discount rate.

SECONDARY ROOM BLOCK

• While we've had a request out to other hotels for more than a week, we did not receive responses over the busy July 4 holiday period.  We continue to work on securing a secondary block for approximately 40 people who do not yet have any reservations at all.  
• We will use questionnaire responses to prioritize sending notifications about the secondary block.

• Note that JASNA does not make reservations for AGM attendees and does not work with any third-party booking agents to do so.  If you are contacted by anyone offering to make your room reservation, please consider it fraudulent.
