Hugh Rowlinson (email: hugh.rowlinson@accglobal.net) was born in Handforth, England, and obtained his B.A., M.A., and D. Phil. in chemistry at Oxford University. He did post-graduate work at Evanston, IL and with the National Research Council in Ottawa, Canada. He remained in Canada, employed as an industrial chemist and, later, as VP of the Plastics Division, and VP of Research and Development at C.I.L. He retired in 1988.
