Phyllis Roth (email: paroth@skidmore.edu) is Professor of English at Skidmore College. Having published extensively on Vladimir Nabokov and Bram Stoker in earlier years, Roth has had the privilege more recently of teaching Austen frequently. Full-time again in the classroom, she served as the chief academic officer at Skidmore College for the decade of the 1990s.

Annette M. LeClair is a librarian at Union College in Schenectady, New York. She has delivered programs on Austen at a variety of JASNA regional meetings and AGMs. Her work on Austen’s legacy and readership has been published previously in Persuasions, Persuasions On-Line, and MLA’s Approaches to Teaching Austen’s Emma.
