Annette Upfal (email: a.upfal@uq.edu.au) completed an M.Phil. thesis at the University of Queensland.  Her article “Jane Austen’s Lifelong Health Problems and Final Illness” was published in Medical Humanities in 2005.  She is completing a Ph.D. dissertation at the University of New South Wales on “Jane Austen and the Nervous Temperament.”

Christine Alexander (email: c.alexander@unsw.edu.au) is Scientia Professor of English at the University of New South Wales, Fellow of the Australian Academy of the Humanities, and general editor of the Juvenilia Press.  She has also published on the Brontës, critical editing, and literary juvenilia, and is currently working on an edition of Austen’s juvenilia for Penguin.
