Travel
By Air: The two major airports of the Chicago area are Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) and Chicago Midway International Airport (MDW). Both airports are about thirty minutes away by car from the hotel/conference center or about forty minutes to an hour via the Chicago Elevated Train system (also known as the “L”). The hotel does not provide shuttle service.
By Train or Bus: Chicago’s Union Station is where Amtrak trains arrive and is about a ten-minute car ride from the hotel/conference center. Greyhound buses arrive across the street from Union Station and Megabus also lets off near Union Station.
By Car: Self-parking is available near the hotel. It is $51 a day for off-site parking and $70 for valet parking.
Weather
Mid-Autumn in Chicago can range from around 50 to 70 degrees. Attendees should also be aware that the closer one is to the lake the cooler the temperature, so it is wise to be prepared with easily removeable layers. The temperature will go down at night as well.
